Sklittles Evening

This is an annual social event for the Garden Club and is always very popular. This year we had 71 people attending, which was fractionally down on last year, but still a good number. It could be the cheap beer at the Golf Club helps. But it really is a very happy event. The Club do a good meal, again at very reasonable cost and around that we manage to get 2 rounds of skittling in. A husband and wife won the first lady's and men's prize so that house will have ample cyclamen for the festive season. I had managed to get some very silly booby prizes for the bottom two. An inflatable duck shower cap had been donated by another of the members so I had to find something equally silly for the other prize, which I eventually found when on holiday in the Ukraine.

At the Skittles evening we collect the subscriptions for the next year and hand out the programme for 2012. So it really is a happy ending to the Club year.
