The 16th December 2009 annual skittles event was attended by a record number of members and friends. Like the club BBQ, held earlier in the year, this event seems to attract more members each year. The highest scores achieved by a man and by a woman are each rewarded by prizes, and booby prizes are awarded to the lowest scores in both categories, somewhat to the embarrassment of the booby prize winners. This year the highest score for a woman went to a member attending for the first time, whilst the men’s highest score and both booby prizes went to loyal long term members.

As usual the members deprived the Post Office of some of it’s Xmas revenue by handing out their Xmas cards during the evening.

This is a very enjoyable and sociable event that is supported by cheaper than normal bar prices and good food. If you have not yet been to a club skittles evening, make a point of coming this year and put a note in your diary now for December 15th 2010.
