BBQ

More than 90 members and friends enjoyed a fine evening at a Cordon Blue standard BBQ. The event was held in the splendid large garden of Long Meadow House, with the Meon wandering through close by.

Catering by Olive and others provided a copious supply of chicken, burgers, and sausages. The cooks did a splendid job, considering they were all male. The food was well done. A large variety of luscious salad was provided by several lady members to their very high standards. There was a rumour that one of the ladies was not prepared to trust the cooks to manage the chicken completely unsupervised, so it was safely oven cooked by her earlier, and finished on the BBQ. Seconds were encouraged and eagerly accepted.

A copious supply of cakes finished the meal.
