Disappointingly only 11 members went on this outing. Again a lovely day for a visit to John Brooks’ garden the other side of Chichester. It is a large and very tranquil garden, perhaps a little past its best but still with lots to see. We were all taken with a spectacular Euonymus tree, laden with red and orange berries, different to the usual Spindle Tree. The gardens have an award-winning restaurant, which sold very tasty lunches. There is also a large Plant Sale area, with so many plants it was difficult to make up your mind what to buy, which help you save your money.
