25 Members paid an evening visit to Dean House, Kilmeston. It was a rare lovely summer evening. The Head Gardener and his assistant gave us an introductory talk and then we were left to wander in this large and lovely garden. The highlight for many of us was the wonderful vegetable garden. It was therefore sad to learn that the produce is not used and is grown for decorative purposes, and it certainly fulfilled that. There are large island beds and everything looked very well kept. There is a pool and very impressive pool room. A very enjoyable visit.
