Corinne & Bob's Cream Tea

12th June 2010

How could an afternoon cream tea with Corinne and Bob be anything but excellent? Approximately 60 members and guests enjoyed a very varied garden of approx. 2/3rds of an acre with lots of nooks and crannies, most with opportunities to sit and enjoy a different aspect of this interesting garden. The garden included 2 ponds, 2 greenhouses, various fruit trees, numerous flower beds, and fruit and vegetable areas. Although the sun was very pleasant there was adequate shade and tables for friends to gather round for a chat.

Culinary treats at the Ramblers are well known to many members, and the 12 varieties of homemade jams to put on the scones with dollops of cream were well explored and appreciated, and spoilt those attending for choice.

Corinne and Bob wish to thank all those who helped for their efforts. They also extend their thanks for the kind comments passed about the garden.

The afternoon was a great success, enjoyed by all, which raised a surplus of £119.04 which will help boost the club Summer Show funds.
